Man arrested for allegedly trying to pass fake $100 bill

A 29-year-old Salt Lake man is in custody after allegedly trying to pass off a counterfeit hundred dollar bill today in Chinatown.

A woman told police that the man entered her store and paid for items with a counterfeit note about 4 p.m. Officers later arrested him at 737 Bishop St. for investigation of first-degree forgery and a warrant.
