Kauai police look for people who beat and robbed a tourist

Kauai police were looking for suspects in the who beating and robbery of a 53-year-old visitor from Germany in Nawilili.

Police said a group of people assaulted the man and stole his wallet about 3 a.m. Wednesday  in front of the Kamaaina Surf and Sport at 3486 Rice St.

The tourist sustained lacerations to his head, hands and forearms. He was taken to Wilcox Hospital where he was treated and released. Anyone with informations on the robbery is asked to call Detective James Rodriguez at 241-1688, police dispatch at 241-1711 or CrimeStoppers at 241-1887.
