» A 35-year-old South Korean woman was being treated in Straub Hospital yesterday after lifeguards rescued her at Hanauma Bay Monday. Lifeguards found the woman, who had been snorkeling, motionless in the middle of the bay, brought her to shore and resuscitated her. A Page B2 “Police/Fire” item yesterday said she had died. The online edition has been corrected.
» The statewide average price for a gallon of regular gas was $4.48 on Monday, up 93 cents from a year earlier. A Page B2 “Newswatch” item yesterday said the price was up $1.29 from last year.
» Cynthia Ching was head coach of Washington Middle School’s math team in 2007 when they won the statewide MathCounts contest. A March 26 Page B3 article attributed the win to the school’s current math team head coach, Sung Park, who was an assistant coach in 2007.
