Obama to host BCS champions Auburn
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will host Auburn University’s football team at the White House next week to honor their 2010 championship season.
Obama will participate in a ceremony April 29 with the players and coaches, as the president traditionally does with championship teams. Then Coach Gene Chizik and the Auburn players will conduct a youth football clinic on the South Lawn. The White House announced the events Thursday.
Auburn beat Oregon 22-19 in the BCS title game in January.
