Plane with engine trouble lands safely at Dillingham
A single-engine, two-seat airplane made an emergency landing at Dillingham Field in Mokuleia this afternoon but did so safely.
Neither the pilot nor the passenger, a woman, were injured during the landing at about 12:37 p.m., said Honolulu fire Capt. Earle Kealoha.
The pilot took off from Honolulu Airport for a test flight around the island when he began experiencing engine problems and decided to land at Dillingham, Kealoha said.
The plane did not appear to be damaged, Kealoha said.
