The driver of the Jeep, a 36-year-old woman, and her passenger, a toddler in a car seat, were taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in good condition.
According to police, the motorcyclist was headed north on Kaukonahua near the infamous S-turn when she crossed the center line and crashed into the Jeep.
She was taken in critical condition to Wahiawa General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The accident occurred just before 2 p.m.
Police closed Kaukonahua for about three hours while they conducted an investigation.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be involved, police said.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, police said.
These were the 21st, 22nd and 23rd traffic fatalities on Oahu this year, compared with 18 at the same time last year.
