Story time honors speech, hearing

A special story time will be held at the Hawaii State Library in celebration of Better Hearing and Speech Month. Children ages 3 and older can listen to stories read by the Hawaii Speech-Language-Hearing Association, make crafts and receive a balloon next Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Edna Allyn Room. Free educational materials about speech, hearing and language will be available for parents and caregivers. Call the library at 586-3510 two weeks in advance if a sign-language interpreter or other special accommodations are needed. The library is at 478 S. King St.
