Hawaii's Sean Montplaisir, right, is mobbed by teammates after his gamewinning RBI in the bottom of the ninth inning of a college baseball game between the Hawaii Rainbows and the San Jose State Spartans today at Les Murakami Stadium in Manoa.

Hawaii scored three runs on a throwing error in the bottom of the ninth inning to pull off a 9-8 come-from-behind victory over San Jose State in the final home game of the season at Les Murakami Stadium.

The Rainbows (30-21, 15-5 Western Athletic Conference) clinched a bye in the conference tournament that begins a week from Wednesday.

Collin Bennet went 4-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored and Breland Alamdova scored twice for Hawaii.

Bennett hit an RBI single in the ninth to put the tying run on base and Van Doornum singled to load the bases with two outs.

The Spartans brought in No. 1 starter Roberto Padilla, who took the loss on Thursday, to face Sean Montplaisir.

Montplaisir hit a slow ground ball to second that Jacob Valdez threw away, allowing all three runners to score.
