High turnover reported in state House of Representatives
More than half of legislators in the Hawaii House of Representatives have taken office within the last seven years.
The Hawaii House Blog, run by the chamber’s majority Democrats, said 27 out of 51 seats have changed hands since the 2004 elections.
That’s a rate of about 53 percent.
Nine new representatives have taken office since last year’s election.
In the Senate, seven of 25 new senators have been seated following the 2010 elections.
