UH men’s volleyball assistant takes Concordia job

Dan Fisher, associate men’s volleyball coach at the University of Hawaii, is leaving to become head women’s coach at Concordia (Calif.) University, UH announced Wednesday.

Fisher was an assistant to Charlie Wade at UH for the past two seasons.

Concordia has been an NAIA women’s powerhouse.

“I am excited for Dan to have an opportunity to start his head coaching career, and for he and Joni to start this new chapter in their lives,” Wade said in a statement released by UH. “I want to thank Dan for his commitment to this program, and for helping us to improve over the last two seasons. I know that he is eager to succeed and I am confident that he will continue the competitive tradition at Concordia as its new head coach.”
