Halau to dance Friday at park

Volcano, Hawaii » Hawaiian entertainer Meleana Ulrich-Manuel and her hula halau will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kilauea Visitors Center Auditorium at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The halau, Ke ‘Olu Makani o Mauna Loa, has competed and performed throughout Hawaii, the mainland and Japan.

Aqua’s birthday means $10 rooms

Aqua Hotels & Resorts will celebrate its 10th birthday on Aug. 11 by offering guests a $10 room special.

The discounted price applies to the first night of stays of three or more nights at 16 Aqua hotels on Oahu, Maui, Molokai and Kauai. Additional nights will be booked at Aqua’s "best available rates," a release said.
