Waipahu sex-assault suspect posed as FBI agent, police say
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly posed as an FBI agent and sexually assaulted a Waipahu woman.
Police said the man knocked on the woman’s door at the Kunia Terrace apartments at 2:15 a.m. May 30 and identified himself as an FBI agent.
The man told the woman she was under arrest, escorted her to the back of the apartment building and sexually assaulted her.
The man is believed to be in his 30s and has a heavy-set build. He was wearing a red T-shirt with “Justice Cop” on the front and red basketball shorts.
Police opened an investitation into third-degree sexual assault, kidnapping and second-degree impersonating a law enforcement officer.
