Police say they arrested a man who allegedly threatened another man who intervened in a fight between the suspect and his girlfriend in Waikiki.

Police said the 39-year-old victim tried to break up the fight when a 32-year-old man with no local address allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and threatened the older man.

The suspect tried to run away, but officers arrested him at Ohua and Kalakaua avenues at 6:55 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of terroristic threatening in the first degree.
