Joint law enforcement sweep ends with 62 arrests
Federal and state authorities joined forces with Honolulu police and prosecutors to arrest 62 Oahu men and women wanted on 123 warrant charges this week as part of “Lokahi Sweep.”
At a joint press conference this morning, officials with the law enforcement agencies said the operation was the first of its kind on Oahu in about two years.
Those arrested were originally sought on suspicion of drug, sex and violent offenses, said Honolulu Police Maj. Richard Robinson, head of the Criminal Investigations Division.
