Officers in Pearl City’s Crime Reduction Unit arrested the man at 5 p.m. for investigation of second-degree attempted murder.

Police said the man got into a fight outside the Creekside bar, at 153 Hamakua Drive, about 1:35 a.m. Saturday when he allegedly stabbed a 29-year-old man in the back. Shawne Garliepp, owner of the bar, said the fight started across the street from Creekside and spilled over into her parking lot.
