A 34-year-old Pearl City man , on the run since the Saturday stabbing of another man during a fight in Kailua, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Aiea.

Officers in Pearl City’s Crime Reduction Unit arrested the man at 5 p.m. for investigation of second-degree attempted murder.

Police said the man got into a fight outside the Creekside bar, at 153 Hamakua Drive, about 1:35 a.m. Saturday when he allegedly stabbed a 29-year-old man in the back. Shawne Garliepp, owner of the bar, said the fight started across the street from Creekside and spilled over into her parking lot.

The victim went to the hospital in stable condition with a single puncture wound.

The suspect fled the scene, but the victim later identified him to police.
