Boy arrested after attack on mental health worker
Police arrested a boy Thursday for allegedly assaulting an employee at a mental health facility in Kalihi.
The employee, a 27-year-old woman, was counseling the 14-year-old boy when he grabbed her and placed a choke hold on her, causing pain, police said.
The woman broke free and notified other staff members. Officers arrested the boy about 2:45 p.m. for investigation of second-degree assault. He was released pending investigation.
