Brush fire chars more than 50 acres in Ewa
Honolulu firefighters extinguished a stubborn 50- to 80-acre brush fire in Ewa near Aloun Farms, fire Capt. Robert Main said.
The fire was reported at 2:36 p.m. Sunday on the makai side of Farrington Highway, Main said. It was extinguished by 6 p.m.
No homes, other buildings or highways were threatened, Main said.
