Police arrested a 10-year-old boy Monday after he allegedly assaulted a teacher trying to break up a fight at a Haleiwa school.

The teacher, 60, was pushed and kicked by the suspect when she tried to break up the fight about noon Monday, according to police.

The student was arrested and released pending investigation.
