UH looking for deans for arts and for tropical agriculture

The University of Hawaii at Manoa is looking for deans for the College of Arts and Humanities and the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources.

Both schools are currently led by interim deans.

The 12-member search committee for the tropical agriculture dean position is being chaired by Dean William Chismar of Outreach College.

Literature Dean Robert Bley-Vroman is heading the search for the arts and humanities dean.

Both committees are due to recommend finalists to Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Reed Dasenbrock.

The university said Friday application reviews are due to begin next month and continue until the positions are filled.
