WALNUT CREEK, Calif. >> The woman whose accusations led to assault charges against Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski is talking about the alleged incident.

Syrena Nicholson tells the Contra Costa Times that Janikowski wouldn’t allow her to leave a room in the back of a Walnut Creek nightclub on Sept. 24, 2010 and screamed at her and pushed her because he thought she had been taking photos of him.

The 36-year-old Nicholson says she had never seen Janikowski before. She says people freed her after she began to scream.

Janikowski is facing misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment charges. His agent, Paul Healy, has questioned Nicholson’s account and how eight months passed before his client was charged in May.

Nicholson says she reported the incident, but had trouble remembering what Janikowski looked like and didn’t know police were still investigating the case.
