A 25-year-old Makakilo man has been charged after allegedly burglarizing several homes and hitting a police car while trying to evade officers on Friday.

Daven Cummings, of a Makakilo Drive address, was charged with two counts of unauthorized entry into a dwelling and one count of first-degree criminal property damage. Authorities had earlier contemplated counts of attempted murder, reckless endangering and resisting arrest. Cummings is being held in lieu of $90,000 bail.

Police said Cummings broke into three homes and, in the process of fleeing police, hit one police vehicle with an officer in it and forced another police officer who was on foot to duck in order to avoid being hit.
