A 58-year-old man was in critical condition Thursday night after nearly drowning in a swimming pool in Waipahu.
The man jumped into the water and was pulled out unresponsive shortly afterward, apparently without hitting anything, according to emergency reports.
Paramedics took the man to Hawaii Medical Center West in critical condition.
