A 22-year-old Honolulu man has been sentenced to nine months in prison for exposing himself via a webcam to a 14-year-old girl in Australia.

Kyle Saito pleaded guilty in June, admitting in federal court in Honolulu he engaged in sexually explicit communication with the girl over the Internet and used a webcam to broadcast images of his genitals to the girl. 

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Hawaii announced Wednesday that he had been sentenced.

After his release, Saito must register as a sex offender. He will also be under three years of supervised release.

The case was investigated by the FBI and law enforcement authorities in Australia.
