Nine NBA stars are in Hawaii visiting with military troops, families and wounded service members.

During their visit this week, they’ll also play in two basketball games with service men and women on Tuesday and Thursday.

The stars participating in the Hoops for Troops USO Tour include Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and Joe Johnson and Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks.

Johnson says he’s looking forward to court time with the nation’s armed forces and learning more about how they serve.

The USO says the group will visit Schofield Barracks, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and the Marine Corps Base Hawaii at Kaneohe Bay.
