The head of the Kauai Independent Food Bank has left the job after 16 years.

Judy Lenthall, who served as executive director of Kauai Independent, left her position today. Tom Lodico, spokesman for the organization’s board of directors, declined to say whether she resigned or was terminated. It’s the organization’s policy to not discuss personnel matters, he said.

A few board members met with Lenthall earlier today. “The Kauai Independent Food Bank remains committed to fulfill our mission to feed the people of Kauai with new leadership,” board President John Yamane said in a news release.

A search for a new executive director has begun. Norma Barton will serve as acting executive director.
