Man arrested in Kapolei purse snatching
A 23-year-old man is in custody tonight after he snatched a woman’s purse in Kapolei, police said.
The 62-year-old woman was sitting on a bench outside a store with her purse on her lap about 4:15 p.m. when the man stole it and ran off, police said.
Bystanders chased him and detained him for police. He was booked for investigation of second-degree theft.
