Ex-Vegas mayor seeks ‘broads’ for new steakhouse
LAS VEGAS >> Former Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman is looking for a handful of beautiful women to staff his new Beef, Booze and Broads steakhouse.
Sin City’s colorful ex-mayor will be holding auditions Thursday and Saturday at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. The event is dubbed “broad-casting.”
Goodman’s restaurant is set to open Dec. 15 and will feature pretty hostesses hired to chat with diners about topics like sports and Las Vegas. He says they’ll eat and drink with guests.
The bar features a “No-bama” whiskey cocktail, playing on a flap Goodman stirred in 2009 when he sought an apology from President Barack Obama for comments Goodman thought hurt Las Vegas.
Goodman held office for more than a decade before his wife, Carolyn, took the post in July.
