Man arrested for alleged threat and violence against woman

A 51-year-old Makaha man faces numerous criminal charges after he allegedly punched a woman several times during two separate arguments earlier this month and threatened to kill her.

Police said the suspect and a 34-year-old Waianae area woman argued on Nov. 5 when the suspect allegedly punched the woman several times in the face and yanked her by her hair, causing her to fall and hit a bed frame. The suspect also allegedly threatened to kill her.

The woman left the house and sought treatment at the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center, where she reported the incident.

On Nov. 13 the woman was with another man in Waianae when the suspect punched the woman in the face through the window of a car, police said. The suspect then allegedly hit a 40-year-old man with a pipe and fled.

When the woman and the 40-year-old man went to the woman’s house on Monday to pick up her medication, police said the suspect tried to stop the woman from leaving.

Police arrested the suspect for second-degree assault, abuse of a family or household member, second-degree terroristic threatening and an unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle; and two charges of harassment.
