Cecilia Braekhus stopped local girl Kuulei Kupihea by TKO at 57 seconds of the 10th and final round on Saturday to retain the WBC, WBA and WBO world welterweight titles in a fight at the Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland.

Braekhus improved to 19-0 with five knockouts while Kupihea fell to 7-2, losing for the first time in her last eight fights.

Referee Daniel Van de Wiele stopped the fight midway through the final round after Kupihea took a series of clean shots to the face, including a right-left hook combo that had Kupihea stumbling against the ropes when it was called.
