Three men are in police custody after allegedly beating and robbing a man early this morning outside a nightclub off Ward Avenue.

Police said the three suspects approached a 24-year-old man outside the bar at about 1:30 a.m. A 22-year-old Waimanalo man allegedly assaulted the victim and demanded his property, police said.

A 31-year-old Kaimuki man allegedly assaulted the victim a second time as he was

reaching for his property and a 24-year-old downtown Honolulu man allegedly assaulted the victim a third time as he was getting up from the previous assaults, police said.

The attackers left in a vehicle, but witnesses got their vehicle information. Responding officers found the vehicle nearby on Kamakee Street and arrested the three men for investigation of robbery in the second degree. The downtown area man was also found in possession of drugs and arrested for a drug offense, police said. 

The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
