Residents need to sign up for Kauai’s Road to Recycling

The deadline to sign up for the start of Kauai County’s Road to Recycling 2012 tour bus series is Jan. 12.

Residents will get a chance for a behind-the-scenes look at the island’s recycling and waste diversion facilities, according to a county news release.

The first tour titled “Introduction to Recycling” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 19. The target audience for the Road to Recycling program is adult residents.

Guests can bring their own lunch or pay $12 for lunch at the designated tour stop.

Covered shoes are required as a precautionary measure.
