“Hawaii Five-0” started the new year with a ratings victory Monday night but the competition was lukewarm at best, according to Nielsen ratings released Wednesday by CBS.

The popular crime drama, which had been on hiatus since Dec. 12, drew 11.9 million viewers to win the hour, according to the Nielsen ratings. On ABC, “Celebrity Wife Swap” drew 6.25 million viewers while “Rock Center With Brian Williams” drew 3.78 million viewers to NBC.

Among adults 18-49, “Five-0” drew 2.9 percent of the total viewing audience and 7 percent of those watching TV at the time.

Fans will have to wait until Jan. 16, however, for a new episode. CBS will air a re-run of the second season premiere next Monday.
