National Park Service holds meeting with staff of Kipahulu area of Haleakala
The National Park Service will hold a community meeting Wednesday at Haleakala National Park’s Kipahulu district on Maui. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Kipahulu Visitor Center in the park.
People can meet park staff members and learn more about the park.
The Kipahulu district includes the park’s coastal section, including Oheo Gulch and its popular series of stream-fed pools. Unlike the stark volcanic landscape of Haleakala Crater, the Kipahulu area is close to sea level and tropical.
