Hawaii tops Grand Canyon for second consecutive night

Senior hitter Steven Hunt put down 21 kills and freshman middle Nick West added 13 to lead No. 13 Hawaii over Grand Canyon 25-21, 27-29, 25-16, 25-21 in a nonconference men’s volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Freshman middle Taylor Averill added 12 kills and 10 digs, and senior libero Nick Castello had a match-high 15 digs for the  Warriors (4-5).

Sophomore hitter Ben Ponner led the Antelopes (5-5) with 21 kills. 

Hawaii returns to Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play Friday with a road match at Pacific.
