South Beretania Street between Ward Avenue and Alapai Street will be closed from about 12:55 to 1:10 p.m. today as the Honolulu Police Department conducts a "final salute" ceremony for fallen Officer Garret Davis in front of HPD headquarters.

There will also be rolling road closures between Borthwick Mortuary and the HPD headquarters starting at 12:45 p.m.

Drivers are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.

During the ceremony, there will be a three-round volley (a 21-gun salute), the playing of taps and a flower drop from the police helicopter.

Davis, 28, was killed Jan. 21 when a pickup truck crashed into his patrol car after the officer stopped on the narrow shoulder of H-1 Freeway in Aiea to assist stranded motorists.
