Hawaii beats Nittaidai in men’s volleyball exhibition

Steven Hunt put down 16 kills and Nick West added 11 as the Hawaii men’s volleyball team defeated Nittaidai of Japan 25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23 in an exhibition match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Warriors hit .409 for the match, including .720 in Set 1, and did not commit a hitting error until their 50th swing. 

Shojei Yamamoto had 14 kills for Nittaidai.

The teams met in another exhibition Sunday at 5 p.m.
