Garrett Bayliff went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI and Dayne Parker added an RBI single in the third as Wichita State held off Hawaii 4-2 in the series finale on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.
Kaeo Aliviado singled twice and dorve in a run and Zack Swasey doubled, tripled and scored once for Hawaii (9-4), which had its eight-game winning streak snapped.
Kris Gardner (2-0) allowed two runs on five hits in six innings to earn the win for the Shockers (6-6). Cale Elam worked the final 2 1/3 innings, striking out Joe Goldenberg to end the game.
David Longville (1-1) allowed four runs on five hits in 2 1/3 innings to take the loss. Freshman Lawrence Chew allowed only two hits over the final 6 1/3 scoreless innings.
Next up for Hawaii is a four-game series against Central Michigan beginning Wednesday.
