Man arrested after Ewa Beach standoff is charged
Charges against a 30-year-old Ewa Beach man arrested Saturday after a four-hour hostage standoff with police were reduced from attempted murder to terroristic threatening.
Police initially arrested Abraham Primacio for second-degree attempted murder after he allegedly pointed a handgun at his 28-year-old girlfriend early Saturday morning. The woman told police Primacio pulled the trigger, but the gun did not discharge. The suspect then reloaded the gun and pointed it at his own head, but did not fire the weapon, police said. The girlfriend escaped with her 4-year-old daughter, leaving her 7-year-old daughter with the suspect still in his home. She called police at about 12:50 a.m.
A crisis negotiating team went to the scene, but the man gave himself up at 4:44 a.m., before negotiations began.
Primacio was scheduled to appear in District Court this morning . His bail is set at $75,000.
