Ukulele group to make second attempt at Guinness world record
A local group will make a second attempt this weekend to set a Guinness world record for the largest ukulele ensemble.
In 2011, 1,547 people joined in an ukulele ensemble in Sweden.
Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro will lead the attempt at 7 p.m. Saturday at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena.
To register for “Go For Da Record … Hana Hou!” go to gofordarecord.org.
Funds raised in the attempt will go to Music For Life Foundation and Rainbow for Japan Kids.
