Rash of UH bike thefts triggers security alert
The University of Hawaii at Manoa campus security office issued a campus-wide warning in response to an increase in bicycle thefts at the school.
According to the warning, six bicycles parked near the Pacific Ocean Science and Technology building have been stolen in the last two weeks.
Campus officials advised students to secure their bicycles to a fixed object and in a lighted area. Anyone who notices suspicious activity is asked to call Campus Security at 956-6911.
