A 22-year-old Honolulu man allegedly broke into a Waikiki home early this morning and assaulted his ex-girlfriend, police said.
One of the two couples living in the home woke up at 2:25 a.m. and saw the suspect in their home.
A 25-year-old woman recognized the suspect as her former boyfriend. Policed said the suspect allegedly attacked the woman, who suffered minor injuries.
Another couple in the home helped to subdue the suspect, who was arrested for investigation of first-degree burglary.
