Firefighters today quickly extinguished a dryer fire on the fourth floor of the Ilikai Hotel & Suites at 1777 Ala Moana Blvd.

One man received a cut on his arm from breaking a glass fire extinguisher cabinet, and another person suffered respiratory problems from smoke exposure, a fire official said.

The fire was reported at 4:15 p.m. today, and was extinguished by 4:35 p.m.  

The fire — smoke only — was found in the laundry center on the fourth floor of the hotel.

There was no property damage, a fire official said.
