Rear Adm. Katherine L. Gregory will leave her job at Pearl Harbor and become the commander of Naval Facilities Engineering Command and Chief of Civil Engineers in Washington, D.C.

Gregory currently serves as commander of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific at Pearl Harbor. Gregory’s successor at Pearl Harbor has not been announced by the Navy.

Gregory is the first female flag officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps. She assumed command of Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific on July 9, 2010. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1982.
