Waipahu man, 23, arrested after allegedly assaulting relative
A Waipahu man, 23, was arrested after he allegedly attempted to strangle a family member and threatened her Friday morning.
Police said the victim, 18, reported she was arguing with the man when he pinned her against a refrigerator and began choking her. He also threatened her with a large kitchen knife, police said.
The man, of an Apowale Street address, is being held pending counts of abuse of a family member and first-degree terroristic threatening.
