Hawaii County police raided alleged gambling operations at three Hilo locations crediting tipsters for their help.

Police said vice officers executed search warrants Friday at Tilt Amusement Center at 111 E. Puainako St., Da Little Game Shack at 165 E. Kawili St. and 777 Arcade at 500 Manono St.

The search warrants resulted from an undercover investigation and tips from the public, which helped corroborate suspected gambling activities, police said.

Police seized 33 suspected illegal gambling machines, suspected gambling records and large sums of cash.

They also arrested three employees, a 47-year-old Keaau man at Tilt Amusement, a 50-year-old Hilo man at 777 Arcade and a 39-year-old Pahoa man at Da Little Game Shack.

The three were later released pending further investigation.

“The Hawaii Police Department thanks the public for providing tips and information that assisted police with the disruption of these suspected illegal gambling operations,” Lt. Burt Shimabukuro of the Area I Vice Section.
