LONDON >> Diana Taurasi scored 18 points and Tina Charles finished with a double-double to lead the U.S. women’s Olympic basketball team to an 88-61 win over the Czech Republic on Friday.

The Americans (4-0) have now won 37 straight games in the Olympics, including four straight gold medals.

Charles finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds for the U.S., which was coming off its first day off since getting together on July 14.

The Czechs jumped out to a quick 10-0 advantage and led 26-24 after the first quarter before the Americans took over.

The Americans (4-0) had rolled through their first three opponents, winning by 36 points a game. They continued the onslaught against the Czechs (1-3), who will need to win their final game Sunday to possibly advance to the quarterfinals.

The game was a rematch of the 2010 world championship title game, which the Americans won by 20 points.
