A motorcycle crash on Kaukonahua Road Sunday evening left one man in serious condition and prompted police to temporarily shut down the road.
According to police and paramedic scanner transmissions, the rider apparently lost control of the motorcycle, struck a guard rail and was thrown about 20 feet onto the roadway shortly before 6:30 p.m.
Kaukonahua Road was closed from Wilikina Drive to Thompson corner for about half an hour.
