Slingshot barrage at bus stop leads to man’s arrest
A slingshot-wielding man who allegedly harassed and threatened another man at a downtown bus stop Saturday afternoon was arrested for terroristic threatening and a pair of drug offenses.
Police said the suspect, 22, approached a 29-year-old man at a bus stop and fired projectiles from a slingshot at him. When the older man got up to defend himself, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened him.
The victim tried to leave but the suspect followed him, continuing to shoot projectiles at him with the slingshot. The victim told police, who found and arrested the suspect.
During the arrest, police found the suspect in possession of a glass pipe with residue resembling crystal methamphetamine.
