Construction worker killed in Schofield wall collapse identified

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 20-year-old Kapolei construction worker who died Monday when a a wall collapsed at Schofield Barracks as Alexander Tagaloa.

Tagaloa was injured when a cinder block wall collapsed at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

He was transported to Wahiawa General Hospital in critical condition where he later died.

The accident occurred near Foote Avenue and Heard Street, where Army contractor Nan Inc. is conducting barracks renovation of Quad D.
