Rutgers tight end D.C. Jefferson (10) is swarmed by Temple defenders during the second half of an NCAA college football game Saturday

Talks have renewed and there still remains a possibility that the Temple and Hawaii football teams will meet in a game next month.

According to people familiar with the situation, Temple is willing to make considerable concessions to add the game to both teams’ 2012 regular-season schedule.

If the game materializes, it would be played on Friday, Dec. 7, at Aloha Stadium.

Temple is scheduled to play 11 regular-season games this year; Hawaii has a 12-game schedule. Under the NCAA’s so-called “Hawaii exemption,” teams playing in Hawaii are allowed to exceed the limit of 12 regular-season games.
